DREAMERS COME TRUE

"Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them" (Orison Swett Marden). In my experience, I have found that people tend to follow the crowd, live life safely, and follow the guidelines that others have instructed them to live, in order to conform to what is acceptable within the general populous. What a crock! Where are the free thinkers, those that unashamedly stand for a purpose or passion in life? Where are those that not only look outside of the box, but transcend beyond what is thought to be the impossible?

We are the free thinkers, those of us that do not settle in life, but make life happen. We are the ones that question the status quo and challenge the limits that others have placed on themselves within their own lives. This life is a gift for us to explore, we are not to be bunched up like a herd of cattle waiting to be slaughtered in the end. We must not give in to the herd mentality, those that wish to tell us that it can't be done. You must believe in yourself and stand against those that would tell you that you are just a dreamer... as if that was a bad thing.

My fellow dreamers, do not be discouraged by the scoffers and pessimists of this world who have given up on their dreams because they believed someone who sucked the soul out of their own hopes at one time in their life. These are the zombies or the living dead that seek to discourage you from becoming, experiencing, and living the life that you dream it to be.

My friends, let it not go unnoticed that every dream must have an action that brings it to life within our world. Make no mistake, there are those that entertain ideas of dreams but fail to bring their dreams to life because they fail to act upon or take the steps necessary to bring their dreams to life. This step, this action, can be very scary to take at first but once launched into motion... it is as if your spirit is soaring to new heights of enlightenment...as if the shackles of life or prison door has opened up to allow you to live the life you chose for yourself.

Let us all learn from the hearts of our children in this world. Those beautiful little human beings that dream and live their lives in such freedom. Those untainted minds of pure imagination and promise of an amazing world that is revealing itself right before their very eyes. May we never tell them to stop dreaming... may we never kill the hopes that lie within the deepest threads of their existence. For it could be their dreams that change our world into a better place someday.

Whether our dream is to work within the world of arts, devote our lives to the service of others, become the next Internet Billionaire, develop a plan to solve the issue of world hunger, design a new invention that may have world-wide implications for the advancement of our societies, or just want to live the life we always dreamed of... then it is time for us to take charge of our lives and make our dreams come true.

There are too many messages out there in the world that tell others what they can and can not do... too many messages that tell children to grow up and stop dreaming, when in reality it is those dreams that create the world around us. I would hate to think about where we would be in life if the inventors and entrepreneurs of this world listened to that horrible message.
